There have been a lot of rumors and speculations about a possible crossover between the Arrowverse and Supergirl but also some scepticism about them being different “earths” and different TV-channels despite them being owned by Warner Bros (CW and CBS).

But now we can put all speculations and rumors aside because the showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have now officially confirmed the crossover:

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl – The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!,” said The Flash and Supergirl Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

Could this crossover also hint to the possibility that Superman and Martian Manhunter will be joining the Arrowverse?

To be continued.

Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

Breaking: Cartoon Network Is Confirming A New Animated Justice League TV-Show

D9GX7Cs-e601f (1)

There was an image circulating on the internet that is from the HQ of Warner Bros which suggested that WB and Cartoon Network had a new Justice League cartoon in the works that’s called “JLA” for short.

It now seems like it was true, because Cartoon Network have now confirmed this rumor:

“Taking a break from our regular site updates, The World’s Finest has an update on an upcoming animated project based on DC Comics characters. When asked about a possible upcoming new animated Justice League series, a representative for Cartoon Network Canada told The World’s Finest the following:

Animated shows tend to premiere on Cartoon Network Canada within the same rough time-frame as its U.S. counterpart, though usually after, so it’s safe to assume that we’ll be seeing a new Justice League animated series – likely the much-buzzed about and allegedly titled Justice League Action – no later than Fall 2016. This response is another confirmation, this time from a network, that a new Justice League series is on the way.”

If this is the case will we get some footage maybe at the end of this year? And what direction will it take?

Will it be the more serious approach like with Justice League: Unlimited? Or will it be more comedic like Teen Titans?

Time will tell.

Warner Bros have not yet made a statement.

It’s certainly more action packed than the first trailer and it doesn’t show as much footage which is good if you don’t wanna get the entire first episode spoiled.

Reports: Hawkgirl TV-series In Development At The CW

With the fourth season of Arrow kicking of this fall, a second for the smash-hit The Flash and the new spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow soon in production it is safe to say that we live in a golden age of Comicbook-related TV-shows.

Now we hear reports from that there is a Hawkgirl TV-show in early development at the CW:

SpoilerTV has learned that The CW is planning a separate Hawkgirl TV series starring Ciara Renée. The project is currently in very early stages of development. If The CW decides to move forward with it, it will most likely bypass the pilot stage and get a straight to series order.

This is just speculation from my part, but it seems that Warner Bros and the CW is using Legends of Tomorrow as a backdoor-pilot (like season 2 of Arrow when they introduced Barry Allen) to launch new spin-off shows. It sounds like a good and solid plan.

The Flash has been a gigantic success and with Supergirl on the horizon i believe that Warner Bros and CBS/CW is just getting started.
