There have been a lot of rumors and speculations about a possible crossover between the Arrowverse and Supergirl but also some scepticism about them being different “earths” and different TV-channels despite them being owned by Warner Bros (CW and CBS).

But now we can put all speculations and rumors aside because the showrunners Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg have now officially confirmed the crossover:

“We are so incredibly excited to announce something that we have dreamed of happening since we starting making Supergirl – The Flash and Supergirl are teaming up!,” said The Flash and Supergirl Executive Producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg. “We want to thank Grant Gustin for making the time to come visit (on top of his already immense workload) and all of the folks at CBS, The CW, Warner Bros. and DC for working this out. And finally thanks to the fans and journalists who have kept asking for this to happen. It is our pleasure and hope to create an episode worthy of everyone’s enthusiasm and support.”

Could this crossover also hint to the possibility that Superman and Martian Manhunter will be joining the Arrowverse?

To be continued.

Supergirl airs Monday nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS. The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.

With the next season of the CW hit TV-show The Flash coming up this fall we will see many a lot more speedsters and now we have our Wally West and he will be a series regular. Reports: Hawkgirl TV-series In Development At The CW

With the fourth season of Arrow kicking of this fall, a second for the smash-hit The Flash and the new spin-off show Legends of Tomorrow soon in production it is safe to say that we live in a golden age of Comicbook-related TV-shows.

Now we hear reports from that there is a Hawkgirl TV-show in early development at the CW:

SpoilerTV has learned that The CW is planning a separate Hawkgirl TV series starring Ciara Renée. The project is currently in very early stages of development. If The CW decides to move forward with it, it will most likely bypass the pilot stage and get a straight to series order.

This is just speculation from my part, but it seems that Warner Bros and the CW is using Legends of Tomorrow as a backdoor-pilot (like season 2 of Arrow when they introduced Barry Allen) to launch new spin-off shows. It sounds like a good and solid plan.

The Flash has been a gigantic success and with Supergirl on the horizon i believe that Warner Bros and CBS/CW is just getting started.
